When my heart lacks faith
and I struggle day by day
God still blesses me
in His own glorious way
When my heart lacks peace
from the battles deep within
God shelters with grace
protecting me from sin
When my heart lacks hope
and I want to run and hide
God's care surrounds me
we walk onward side by side
When my heart lacks joy
in my moments of despair
God listens to words
of every tear soaked prayer
When my heart lacks love
with no light at tunnel's end
God brightens the way
