Down and out with nothing, homeless, he had a plan
He would look for work, at the home of a wealthy man
He knocked on the ornate door, waited, filled with hope
His legs were shaking badly, like a jello rope
The Master of the house met him at the door
He asked the man for work, to earn a hundred bucks or more
The rich man said “I need someone my porch sure needs some paint”
I'll pay you what you're asking, the homeless man felt faint.
He promised he would do the job and then clean up the brush
He would do his very best, be careful not to rush.
Just two hours later, he knocked on the door again
He said “The job is finished and I think you'll like it, friend”
As he took the hundred and turned to walk away
He turned back to the rich man and said “Oh By the way”
That car sure is a beauty and it shines just like a torch
But it's a Maserati, not even made by Porsche
Before picture, I couldn't find an after, but you can imagine.

I laughed until I cried when I heard this as a joke
so I thought I'd try my hand and use my poet strokes.
I hope this makes you laugh and gives your life some cheer
as you realize undone projects aren't the worst to fear.
