Poetry For Everyday People

Mind Racing On A Park Bench

More eyes surround
more shadows
more silent
torment

sun shines
on light blue sheets
waving as a cat stretches
underneath last nights
dreams

I sit
on a faded green
fold chair
drinking red wine
in winters wind
remembering what
no one could ever guess
in perfect detail

sounds I wanna hear
tease my ears
and caress me
relentlessly

you know
I'll take a blade
to my face
and whisper off
death
so I can touch
you soft

man is mostly
captured
captured

in life
in love
in sex
in thought

captured

and the torture
is beautiful
I am hard for it
strawberry dreams
wet kisses
pretty wounds
blood
scars
melt soft
like a flag
dying

some eyes
I swear I've already
known and we pass by
each other
in electric wind
and we wanna say
I know you
significantly

where has time
brought us
and what is it
about strangers
in odd moments
that can send
a vibe
through our souls

I wonder if birds know
we'd pay
to hear
them
sing.
