Poetry For Everyday People

Meeting At The Sanctuary

The smell of candles
fill the room
with soft angels
wine is sipped
head is tilted
back relaxed
liquid tease
pointing

the wrinkles
are a map
to a place deep
within
and the sound
of wine splashing
in majesty's glass
heals the shadows
off the walls
darkness
safe again

a gate
that frees
what's caged
the moon smiles
through poetry
pleasure is giving
without a price
secret path ways
shared matches

I take the journey
with all my being
dancing
to lay rose petals
poetry
soul friendship
kisses

what we hold
between us
beyond

break me down
and tell me
it'll be alright
take the poison out
lick it clean
every body needs
a place
to pull down
their zippers.
