The Walk
I heard a voice just a whisper
It seemed so far away
It proceeded to get closer
Then I heard Jesus say
Come walk with me my Son
Just reach out take My hand
We'll climb the golden stairway
Into the Promised Land
The walk was one of mercy
For a body weak and worn
Through God's loving grace
I'm whole I've been reborn
He walked me to a garden
That never will grow old
Where He leads I will follow
One more lamb to His fold
We walked amongst the Angels
Loved ones from the past
Now in the arms of Jesus
I'm finally home at last
When the Savior called my name
I didn't hesitate or balk
I put my hand in His
And to Heaven I took the walk
