 Biblical Healing

Physical healing may not be God's will
Rest assured that He is in control still
If healing is by His sovereign choice
Remember to thank Him and rejoice

God does not promise physical healing
The Bible shows His grace revealing
Healing is referred to in various ways
The context gives clues to what it says

If the passage is about the effects of sin
It is from a spiritual condition within
That is why Jesus suffered on the cross
To redeem the souls of men who are lost

If a specific ailment or sickness is cured
It is physical through faith in His word
In the case of the healing miracles of Jesus
There is a purpose as a sign and witness

Since Jesus came to make mankind whole
Often it involves body, spirit, and soul
For unless our spiritual needs are met
Our sin is like we are trapped in a net

When Jesus healed by physical restoration
There was also a spiritual transformation
He often said to them, go and sin no more
In doing so, they saw His blessings in store

God still performs miracles of healing today
He uses doctors and medicine in a special way
But it is by faith in Him that remains the key
To experience His healing in setting you free

1 Peter 2:24 (NIV)
He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, so that
we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by his
wounds you have been healed.
