Three Hairs
"Your attitude determines your latitude" is one of my favorite quotes
I heard a marvelous story that caused my spirit to float.
A lady facing cancer with all of the trauma and scare
awoke one early morning to find she had only three hairs.
She smiled as she decided to braid those little hairs
then went about her day with all her love to share.
Next morning bright and early, in her mirror she took a view
saw her hairs remaining, now were only two.
She smiled once again in her bright and cheery way
said "I think that piggy tails are right for me today."
She went to visit friends and she wrote a little poem
then she planted flowers near the front door of her home.
Next morning when she woke and smiled at the sun
then she checked her mirror and found her hair strand, one.
She smiled and exclaimed; "this is really swell,
today I'll wear my hair, as a pony tail."
That day she read to children , took flowers to her Church
planted two new trees, a willow and a Birch.
Next morning as she woke, and smiled in her mirror
the fact that she had no hair left, was obvious and clear.
She smiled and she laughed in her delightful way
said; "This is really fun, I don't have to do my hair today!"
That day she did some other things to love, care and share
with a smile on her face and her head without one hair.
I heard this special story on the Dr. Laura, radio show
It caused me to weep and my heart to grow.
From now on when I'm hurt or sad, I'll think of this story
and try to love and share , my Jesus and His Glory.
