Rog's Rhymes~~~A Play She Wrote
A Play She Wrote
Life is as a play she wrote, the staring role she played from the start
Lucky the player she cast so lovingly in a major, performing, part
She can walk the boards grandly playing the life of a domineering queen
In the next act a mere servant girl she can be, simply, convincingly, seen
An actress, no matter her age, of many facets will always perform a great role
But the part that brings her audience to tears is the part she plays from her soul
Oh from acting a role to reality, a mere observer can not know which it will be
Is she living the role or merely playing a part no one knows not even she
As the years advance she fine tunes her craft, standing ovations applaud
Not one in her cast can touch her brilliance her excellence she will laud
Will we ever know who she really is, doubtfully we will know for certain
Pray she takes a finial-unmasked call before they pull the last act curtain
Written for two unnamed great actresses B and K
