Depression Threatens
(An intimate moment with God)
Could I walk by Your side
For just one hour?
Could You help me dispel
This raging power?
Father, I'm as lonesome as can be!
Depression threatens to devastate
All I have come to appreciate,
I need Your Guidance desperately!
O, child can you not see
That I walk each step with thee?
There's nothing you face
That I don't understand.
Yes, child, walk with Me,
And very soon you'll see
There's nothing we can't face
If we walk hand-in-hand.
Could You dry these tears I've cried,
The pains so deep inside,
That I don't think I can go on?
Some have lost their precious children,
Others suffer cancers driven
Through bodies till they feel all hope is gone?
Child, I share this pain with you,
Saved your tears in crystal, too,
They become blossoms in Heaven's sweet display.
You see, My Son was mocked, disgraced,
And the weight of sin was placed
On His shoulders, and I had to turn away!
But I did all that for you,
Through His Blood you can come, too,
Let Me hold you as I gather all those tears,
Yes, you mean that much, it's true,
My greatest sacrifice was just for you,
His Resurrection banished all your fears.
Hold on tight to Jesus' Hand
As you walk this hallowed land,
And remember prayer is always 'Heaven's Key'.
Remember, also, that come-what-may,
I am with you day-by-day,
From now through all Eternity.
Every hour, of every day,
I am with you all the way,
You can reach me any time with just a prayer.
Jesus came to set you free
To live life~~~ more abundantly,
Where ever you may be, I will be there.
Heavenly Father, let me rest
Within Your Sweet Blessedness,
Surrendering all my cares at Jesus' feet.
Knowing I can trust in You,
And that you will see me through,
No longer depression threatens,
I am complete.
