Upon My Shield
Upon my shield battered and worn
I rest tonight from battles born
Of sin and waste, that robbed my soul
The soul GOD gave, evil once stole
Breathing deeply, regaining ground
I hear the cries of those still bound
To one whose lies enslave my brothers
Imprisoned fathers, sisters and mothers
Rest I do in JESUS my faith
Reborn again to storm Hells gates
Where fires burn that never cease
Endless it's lust on many feasts
Raising my shield, born of Gods light
Unsheathe my sword, rested my sight
Will press endless to save the blind
The many lost to life unkind
Prayers will guide my victory
Today we will make history
As CHRIST is ours who gave us this
Upon a cross how could we miss
