Dreams Forsaken

Dream of love no more, My Lady,
I know how your heart aches so,
Dream of love no more, My Lady,
Command the dreams to go.

For dreams are such a wonderful thing,
But they are dangerous too,
Losing oneself in a fantasy world,
Is not the thing to do.

Lying in bed alone at night,
Longing for sleep and dreams,
Is a trap that you have to fight,
Because dreams are not all they seem.

Having a dream of someone to hold,
Is a thing worthy of merit,
But having someone for real is gold,
Or maybe even diamonds with carats.

For spending ones life dreaming in the night,
Is like the wild sea with foam,
There is nothing solid to grasp real tight,
To find your way back home.
