Now Then…Now then, I have a little tale to tell, About when I was a little lass, And how that I was a little cow, And the worst behaved in my class! You see, I used to always fight, With all the boys in school! Well, in truth, only the bullies! The ones who always broke the rule! But no matter what I did, To try and put things right, It always, always ended… In me getting caught up in a fight! The teachers thought I was naughty, And I always got the blame! Even when it wasn't my fault, So that really was a shame!! You see…the weak kids got a hiding, And bullied all the time in school, Well, of course, that was wrong, Cos that went against the rule! But they were always crafty, And it was always the same! They never got caught out, And so I always got the blame! I'd have to kneel before the statue, The one with the staring eyes, And write out lines, one hundred times… Cos I wasn't very wise! ‘I must not fight with the boys!' I would write, over and over again! My poor knees would be oh, so sore, As I would kneel there in my shame! And I always meant to be good! I did you know, that's true! But every time the bullies started, I always started too! And to this day, my poor knees, Have dents in them both! So when I went into the senior school, I made a serious oath!
