The black leather belt had been a gift from a shopping trip
Yet now she screamed uncontrollably
As the bedroom door gaped open
And the shiny sliver with buckle
Pulled against his neck
Leaving him dangling from the dark wooden beam.

Not the first time this has happened
In a small town not far from where I sit
The number of young victims now runs to double numbers.

Teenage angst?
Or something far more sinister?

P.S....As of the 22nd February 2008,
the total is now 17 youngsters,
who, in this small town in Wales,
have taken their own life.
