Teens…

Is it because I'm older?
That my son is driving me wild?
Or is it because of independence?
When the boy's no longer a child?

Is it because I'm older?
That me patience has gotten thin?
Or is it because of age?
That I feel I just can't win?

Is it because I'm older?
That nothing is the same?
Everything's so serious,
And nothing is a game?

He wants to go out with friends,
But they're no good, without doubt
He's got sullen looks and mood swings,
Because I wont let him out!

I tell him to behave...
And the line i insist he toe,
He's telling me what to do,
I'm telling him where to go!

I tell him off, clip his ear,
He's telling me he's leaving home,
So I say, ok, and show him the door,
But he doesn't want to be alone!

His arm slides around me,
He pecks me on the cheek
Are you creeping i ask him?
This is the second time this week!

Almost 15, nearly 40,
Still a boy, almost a man,
Truly a pain, he drives me insane,
But I love him, cos damn, I'm his mam!

Hormone trouble!
Do they all go through it?
Oh hell, say no please,
Cos by the time 'I'm' 40,
I'll be on me knees!
