A Love Shattered
We danced the night away
to a piano's sweet played tune,
a romance that would end,
you would be going soon.
Although my heart was shattered
like the wine glass that you threw,
our evening had been romantic
while the gentle winds blew.
It was the perfect moonlit night,
the piano music faded in part,
as I threw my glass it shattered
on the piano keys of my heart.
The piano was our glowing love
as it played a gentle tune,
our loving dance was over
underneath a perfect moon.
I would miss your loving touch,
your beautiful blue eyes,
a love shattered not in tune
we then said our last goodbyes.
