To My Love

Say not roses have thorns, but thorns roses,
And I'll press wine from your tears.
Say not roses need rain, but rain roses
And we'll banish monstrous fears.

Somewhere in God's heart -- a heart that knows --
It is written: Rain Dies Without Roses.
A fearless sun requires no rainbows
Until our brief love closes.
