Sweet Surrender

Sweet Surrender

Sweet surrender in the night,
Hear me now...see my plight.
Two hearts beat wildly so,
Then the lonliness when you go.

Why must it always be,
An unknowing mystery.
Why two heart beating as one,
Should ever part and then be none.

For one alone cannot sustain that beat,
That two can make oh so sweet.
Things never go as you plan,
Never stay as they began.

One always has a question or two,
Before you know it you are through.
Oh, for the want of a little faith,
A life together we could make.

There is nothing that can be done,
I was sure you were the one.
Now there is nothing where there was all,
For lack of faith now all we do is recall.
