Meet the Living Word
The Double-Edge Sword
Just because we are forgiven,
Does not mean a trip to Heaven;
We have to prove a love for God,
In respect to honor and laud.
Show worthiness having merit,
Deserving what we inherit;
For since the judge is just and fair,
On precisely who will go there.
We should always do our best,
For entering that place of rest;
So that none of us disobey,
Or enticed in order to stray.
What the Lord has already said,
Should be embedded in your head;
Because God has nothing to hide,
Exactly how you should abide.
What is in the Word of the Lord,
Is sharper that a two-edge sword;
That can and will slice through your soul,
Which is keeping God in control.
