Petes Poetry

Spirits and Belief

Tradition and belief.
Handed down through the ages.
Morals hidden beneath.
Or written on blank pages.

Oh Christ did bleed.
With gods wisdom and strength.
A humanitarian of need.
Immortal to life's length.

So my sins may be heavenly forgiven.
For wasting energy, forgetting about living.

But somehow caught between heaven and earth.
Finding a reason, finding self worth.

The knowledge of knowing all is not lost.
For heavenly wealth has no earthly cost.

Tripping, with spirits on my side.
With all their strength they cried.
To find a world in which to confide.
To look up and find my guide.

Pete.
