The world is growing so cold on you now
Through all the deep sorrows of your mind
The eternal tyranny and brutality of the careless heart
Are breathing in the shadows of the limitations of mankind
Many times in your life love grows so numb
And often for you reality is so very hard
You feel like a stone wedged forever against a wall
You go blindly through it all and often scarred
Then you run thru the passages of your life before you fall
Passing and pausing all the time
You review your life and why you were so blind
And all your thoughts are evoking now
Some of the bright days that you left behind
Yesterday's memories are betraying you
And you wonder about those days ahead devoid of hopes
Because now it seems is just raining in your heart
Drowning all your senses with your silenced cry
You're bursting free from every season in your mind
While flashes of misery creep in silently upon your gentle soul
I see your tears falling and gleaming in the night
And your eyes are like black pools, lost, till you become whole.
