I can feel the magnetization
Of the slimy thoughts
That have infected me…
Lurid slime of malevolence
And self-loathing
Which can only result
In the lashing out of the ones
Who know how to
Punch our buttons the best,
Our loved ones.
OH how they deserve
Our childish outbursts
For tromping about
On the land minds
We have so carefully
Put out in the open
So they should know better
Than to incur our wrath
Right?
We are victims
Aren't we?
Of our own emotions.
Better to pop a pill
Or go to the Dr.
Than to take responsibility
For ourselves
And how we feel.
But what if
Just what IF
Our happiness
Had nothing to do
With anyone
Outside of ourselves?
What if peace
And peace of mind
Were created
From within?
Not without?
Then it would become
Our responsibility
To remove the land mines
So as not to harm others.
Then it would take
No one else
But ourselves
To make the world
Right again
In our own eyes.
Then what world
It would be.
