Through These Eyes
Through these eyes
You can see six feet down
Through these ears
Whimpers from that depth sound
Through these fingers
Death's bones tighten their grip
But it's through these eyes
That you see my time steadily slip
Through these eyes
You can see my life begin to shatter
Through this nose
Smell my heart melt to dark matter
Through these lips
Blood tastes sweeter than wine
But it's through these eyes
That you see it is almost time
Through these eyes
You can see all I have failed
Through these ears
Sounds of a coffin being nailed
Through these lips
Words end as I give up
But it's through these eyes
That you see how my time is up
You can see six feet down
Through these ears
Whimpers from that depth sound
Through these fingers
Death's bones tighten their grip
But it's through these eyes
That you see my time steadily slip
Through these eyes
You can see my life begin to shatter
Through this nose
Smell my heart melt to dark matter
Through these lips
Blood tastes sweeter than wine
But it's through these eyes
That you see it is almost time
Through these eyes
You can see all I have failed
Through these ears
Sounds of a coffin being nailed
Through these lips
Words end as I give up
But it's through these eyes
That you see how my time is up
