Thought Of You
I thought of you last night
And you never left my mind
In the stars I could see your eyes
So beautiful and well defined
Yes last night you were with me
Just standing there at my side
Yet as the night air got cooler
I felt you crawl inside
Wonderful warmth came to me
As I've never felt before
I was overcome by your comfort
So I thought of you some more
I felt my heart smile again
Like it has not done in years
And yes I must admit it
I shed more than a few tears
So I closed my eyes to imagine
The tenderness of your touch
And prayed I'd never lose
Your warm embracing clutch
And you never left my mind
