Don`t open your eyes and see the negative side of life
Even tho` it may feel in your heart that there`s a sharp knife,
Instead, take deep breaths and feel a calm from deep within,
Make yourself stand tall and tell yourself that you can win.
Don`t rise from your bed with a heavy heart and no hope
Even tho` you`re convinced that life`s hard and you can`t cope,
Get up with a feeling of trepidation by all means
`Cos you can cope with what`s thrown at you, it`s in your genes.
Don`t face each new trial as if it were an obstacle
Even tho` you think people may see you as weak and fickle,
Show them you can find a solution to a problem,
Solve it, but do it for you and not just for them.
Don`t feel down about yourself or how you look
Even tho` you don`t compare to the models in a book,
Beauty comes from within and will shine thru` too,
Others see your beauty in everything you do.
Don`t live in the past and hunger for times gone by
Even tho` they seem better than now, you may sigh,
Look to the future and what the days ahead may bring,
You never know, maybe one day your heart will sing.
Don`t see the downside to everything that comes your way
Even tho` things may seem dark and dismal you may say,
Look for the good things and accept them as a gift,
They will cheer you up and give your heart a lift.
Don`t hide away and carry all your troubles alone
Even tho` you think it`s your fault - you can atone,
So accept a helping hand when it`s offered to you
And your life may lead you to pastures anew.
Don`t be disappointed if things don`t go right
Even tho` you feel like giving up the fight,
Face things head on and do things one by one,
Don`t stop and never quit until you have won.
So rise each morning with a positive attitude,
Say, I do, I can, I will, don`t ever brood,
Things will look brighter and hope will spring anew,
You will look at life with a totally different view.
