 Pages Of A Woman's Soul

Unbidden images abound in
the rain-washed day.

Memories float aloft;
drifting, untethered balloons
carried away on the scent
of wet earth.

So many lifetimes perceived:
innocent laughter...
first love...
first kiss...
vanishing now
in the trickle
on my windowpane...

...fleeting, sweet briefness -
droplets of time
gone their way,

but never so far
as to not be conjured
by a walk through a
warm, summer shower.
