Dark Poetry From A Twisted Mind

Winter Days Gone By

Winter Days Gone By

Footsteps in the snow.
Memories from long ago.

A big warm jacket,
crocheted mittens,
knitted hat with a ball on top.
Snowball fights,
snow angels, & snowmen...
fun we wished
would never end.

Pink cheeks,
iced eyelashes,
cold feet inside
winter boots.
Children's laughter,
cocoa after ~
Mom admiring:
How cute!

Memories of long ago
but not so far away.
A distant time,
a kinder, sunnier
snowy day.
