Poetry For Everyday People
Edge Of Nowhere
I'll meet you
at the corner
in the rain
with all our pain
packed up
and ready to die
we'll bury it
behind the dumpster
in the alley and
walk out new
into neon chances
tired of starring
into cups of coffee
day dreaming about
where we really
wanna be as we
pretend to get on
with it
sitting someplace
we don't belong
far away from
who we are
or who we
wanna be.
at the corner
in the rain
with all our pain
packed up
and ready to die
we'll bury it
behind the dumpster
in the alley and
walk out new
into neon chances
tired of starring
into cups of coffee
day dreaming about
where we really
wanna be as we
pretend to get on
with it
sitting someplace
we don't belong
far away from
who we are
or who we
wanna be.
