The dream world is strong today
And I'm being called back
To the other realms
Eyes close for a second
And it's right there
Or am I here?
I can't tell which.
The animal is before me
And then becomes two.
Creatures never seen
In either world
Appear to me.
Part beaver
Part Ewock
Part rodent
Eyes glassy black
Look at me
And connect.
We are a part of
One another
Somehow
Eyes open
And the image remains
In spite of being here
Part of me is still there
It/They won't let go of me.
The Dream World is calling
But I have a
10am appointment
Get up
Get up.
Get up!
Shower
Dress
Eat
Drive
Ride the train
Wait for the bus
Walk to the building
Sit in the circle
Wriggle
Talk
And still…
Eyes close for a second
And I am there
Here.
The edge of the cloverleaf
Of light hangs in the air
And the physical world
Is left down at the other
End of a tunnel
Their words
Barely audible
Even though
My body is in
The same room.
I am missed there
My friends are calling
I have work to do
I'm not finished yet.
Eyes open
I am back in the circle
And I need to find
A place to go lay down
And complete the journey
In the Dream world.
