It was late; about 10..
He read me a story..
Of Mice And Men..
Purrs become snores..
I drift of to sleep..
With wide opened jaws..
I dream of chasing bees..
In newly cut fields;
And a summer breeze..
Clouds as white as rice..
Drifting pass me..
Like the mice..
Maurice the supper Cat..
Fight foxes during the day..
At night on your lap..
Darting, chasing, jumping..
Like a spring lamb..
A cat dreaming…..
