How does one touch
that deeply protected heart
The one that all but shuts
before it really starts

wishing to be set free.
What is it that I'm missing
what is it I leave undone
why is it that my heart
always holds the song unsung
I know you are out there
alone can not be my fate
How long must it be
that I sit alone and wait
Why is this task made so hard
when its really quite simple
It's the little things in life
that makes this heart giggle

Buy me a rose
Call me from work
Open a door for me
What would it hurt
Show me you love me
By the look in your eyes
These are the little things
I need most in my life
