My Everything
How do you describe perfection?
How would you get the point across?
To tell you of our mutual affection,
For words I am at a loss.
To describe the wondrous beauty,
One can see in another,
Is more than just a duty,
It is a privilege like no other.
To say that she is fair of hair,
To say she has eyes of blue,
To say that she has love to share,
And that the love is true.
All these things could be said,
Of the one that lights my life,
She is the one that makes my way ahead,
Seem light and easy with little strife.
She comes to me at the midnight hour,
Love shining in her eyes,
Scents as delicate as a flower,
And all that it implies.
Her arms encircle me very tight,
Her lips tilt up to meet mine,
How can someone describe a night,
Like this one so devine.
My lady, my love, my life unplanned,
She is my everything and my all,
She holds my soul in her hand,
I am at her beck and call.
