Poetic Verses

Where To Sleep

Where the star lights overhead
the earth becomes the only bed
No blanket soft to keep warm
No key locked doors safe from harm

In daylight walk the streets by hour
In storms in vacant doorways cower
Shunned by the public eye
Ignored is the pitiful cry

Where to sleep, where to live
Where to work, nothing to give
In this mortal god-given right
Life should not be such a fight
