In his life he knew a few
Their reason for what they saw as love~
Was more like advantageous convenience
Than a true and loving romantic dove~
They felt they did want to make it alone
And needed someone simply to be there~
He was searching for true love
The kind beyond compare~
It's a woeful situation of life
As later children they do arrive~
And thinking of them and what was best
One rolls with it to survive with pride~
Never opened a pay packet at all did he
Gave it to them to hold off strife~
Hoping things one day would improve
And doing ones best with this in life~
He found that one after another was
Then very much the same~
Always doing ones best to pass each test
Wondering often if he was some what to blame~
Eventually he found real true love
The true love that he searched for~
But looking back down life's track
He only saw the unloving ones of before~
He feels that to marry should be on contract
To make sure many do not do this~
To waste ones life,husband or wife
And have it all anything but bliss~
So many of these types live double lives
It all seems to be some kind of game~
With one who really does not care too much
And another wondering if they are to blame~
And then comes the children
To have to grow in this mess is a crime~
So many should be taken to task for this
Treating love like this,As true love is divine~
Hearts get broken,ruins self esteems
The pain is often slow poison at best~
Often told it's all in ones head
By the likewise uncaring rest~
He never knew what true love was at all
Till he found one that was actually true~
It hurts that his children grew with little respect
Blaming as many do one not two~
One in almost a hundred souls it seems
Don't suffer though they'd never say~
Pretending plays a big part of it all
It's a crime of life come what may~
Marriage should be a sworn contract
And two really loving every single time~
As after all it is a partnership
And true love it is divine~
