Traveler

Beyond the reaches of her senses
Amidst the waters of her mind
Her soul travels, ever faithful
Her true love, she needs to find

He spoke to her in soft tones
Carried within a robins' song
She bends an ear to follow now
For his melody makes her long

Like a chrysalis begging to open
She longs to be born anew
Beneath his touch so silken
A vow of devotion that is true

Sweet visions are so taunting
Like the wind within the trees
Like a gift that can't be opened
Teasing her with things to be

Some say only a fool does wander
Down a path that is unknown
Yet the heart does guide this traveler
On this journey, she must go...
