I sit silently outside so very late
Listening to the night birds cry~
The cricket and the frog so small
The silence of the moon within the sky~
Clouds so dark but for the night
Move slowly seductively as one~
And all's at rest without sense of test
So very far and distant seems the sun~
Ones ears becomes ones very eyes
As smallest wild life comes to see~
As I sit in silence out side on steps
The night life, the night and me~
Peaceful so beyond mans dreams
As if the earth is all as one~
So hard to believe the world is as is
Deeply within the night without the sun~
The world about sleeps, night life creeps
So very still all peacefully life it seems~
Tranquility reins exempt of worldly pains
Ever sublimely one can believe in dreams~
Sitting alone out side my home
My ears become my eyes~
A cat somewhere cries in the distance
A possum gives a sigh~
Feelings of all being well my ears do tell
As I sit within this night~
And listen to Gods creatures tell it all
How this earth could be so free of plight~
