Open your eyes to the world around you,
Open you heart to the love that is there,
Don't ignore the evil and its twisted view,
Just see it and be aware.
For life is a mixture of good and bad,
We all experience each from time to time,
Sometimes we are happy, sometimes we are sad,
No one said life was a nursery rhyme.
One thing we can control is how we react,
When evil rears its ugly head,
We can see it for what it really is in fact,
And face it without fear or dread.
Evil is just a concept,
Born from a diseased soul,
Which you do not have to accept,
Because you are the one in control.
Exposing the evil to the light,
So that everyone can see,
Its true face is not as quite,
Frightening to you and me.
Using love and understanding,
Is a much higher road to travel,
And of ourselves we must be demanding,
To not let our reserve unravel.
