Poetry For Everyday People
Calling Me Home
I can feel another life,
next to me, a whole other
world, I just can't focus
enough, or meditate enough,
or let go enough, to reach,
see, walk into,
other names, other faces,
a more sense of belonging,
next door to this, beyond
this, around the corner
of this,
before I lay down silent,
and the ghost begins it's
dance,
I feel this gate calling,
pulling at me, and I
look around the corner,
the alley, full of miracles,
as memories dive
in the simmering life,
I hear a soft voice,
maybe my own?
next to me, a whole other
world, I just can't focus
enough, or meditate enough,
or let go enough, to reach,
see, walk into,
other names, other faces,
a more sense of belonging,
next door to this, beyond
this, around the corner
of this,
before I lay down silent,
and the ghost begins it's
dance,
I feel this gate calling,
pulling at me, and I
look around the corner,
the alley, full of miracles,
as memories dive
in the simmering life,
I hear a soft voice,
maybe my own?
