Far away from you and distant,
My thoughts migrate to you -
The woman of my dreams,
The compass of my heart…
And I wonder in fear and solitude,
How long two fires of love
Torn by oceans and thousands of miles
Can keep two hearts and souls
Together…
When we touched invisibly and smiled
I knew we touched and shared
Eternal origins and destiny -
Deep beneath the conscious
Beyond the visible senses:
A reservoir, a field of love,
Of strength and faithfulness...
And there where all is one we stay
Together…
The passing of months and seasons
Will make you sad, sometimes,
Will make you cry, sometimes,
Will make you wonder, sometimes,
How love can be so hard…
But the warmth of the sun returns
And beauty flirts with the sky
And then it is easier to understand
Together…
So we give words to the poems
That we carry in our hearts;
So we give music to the songs
That we carry in our soul;
So we give life to the love
That we carry in our dreams;
So we shape one shadow of hope
Against the fractured world,
Together….
