SHARED LIFE

By

Jaymz

when I think back,

on life intact,

the sun and the moon,

'whether night or noon,

the stars in the skies,

the light in your eyes,

and the way you smile,

makes it all worth while.

Like a carpenters hand,

the worker of the land,

God brings down to me,

such a one as thee.

He so knows my heart,

and gives it a start.

It sounds unbelievably absurd,

to say "I love you" without the words.

Your heart has been cracked,

your soul has been racked,

with the God awful pain,

of love given in vain.

I too know this way,

each and every day.

If you would let me see,

and put your trust in me,

with an outstretched arm,

I would keep you from harm.

I would never give you away,

you know my love would never fade

So when I look forward,

into life so awkward,

I get a glimpse at least,

between two souls at peace.

So don't hesitate or be afraid of bad,

and let's take what so many others have had,

give your heart freely to me,

and I'm certain you will see,

a man can overcome any crushing blow,

with the sweetest, pure, strength that comes from your soul.

So love me sweetly,

love me so deeply,

give to me everything you know,

and I'll give to you all my soul.

This is what it's like,

to live a shared life.
