THE ROSE AND YOU

The rose awoke this morning
and shook off the dew
it spread its pedals
and breathed in the essence of you
its little heart melted
its leaves did quiver
it gave its life force
for the angel God delivered
the morning sun did cry
as the dawn slowly broke
it watched the rose die
with a lump in its throat
it would be for love and not money
the rose knew for certain
that this woman called honey
was the right kind of person
as it died in the field
and played its part in the game
it whispered so sweetly
"Give all our love to Jaymz"
