Loved the Woman In Me



To learn of love
You must dig deep within
You take the time
and you shall win

This heart of mine
was open and bare
With all life's experiences
was so ready to share

Oh had you just taken the time
to see the woman in me
The world would have been yours
So many times I made the plea

Just dearly love me
for who I am
I thought you and I
were of God's plan

You tried to make me
what I am not
I tried to change
now what have we got

Our love with in my heart
just wasn't meant to be
Oh how I wish
you had just loved the woman in me
