Let There Be Peace on Earth
and Let it Begin With Me
Let me remember
That it is not my place to judge others
Therefore I not be judged
Let me not look
at the color of the skin
or the clothes worn
or the house lived in
Allow me to openly search
the contents of the heart.
Let me not just talk the talk
but show me how to walk the walk
Let me keep an open heart
Even with the risk of it being broken.
Help me to remember it is better
to have loved and lost than
to have never loved at all.
Let me be a good person
So I can be a good friend,
parent
grandparent.
Let me do my part
to work for peace
With in the home,
With in the country
and most importantly ...
Let me do all that I can
to bring Peace on Earth
And I know that it must begin with me.
