 What you cooking at?

All there seems to be on TV
Are programmes about cookery
Chefs have now become celebrities
It's now cool to be in pantries
But if you take a closer look
It's not great being a cook
Long hours in hot conditions
Working with your provisions
Poor pay for non stop cooking
With a head chef overlooking
Health and hygiene is must
Many restaurants now go bust
Dressed in white and a silly hat
Every second being shouted at
Customers complaining, being rude
Saying they don't like your food
I like cooking, but not for a career
I'd rather have a takeaway and a beer
Enjoy my 9-5 job, Monday to Friday
And at the weekends go out and play
Maybe eat out at a fancy restaurant?
Telling the Chef what I want!
