"Mother Earth"
Oh Mother Earth;
how we feel your restlessness.
Struggling through your rugged,
veins to breath.
We hear your mighty haunting cries.
We see you raging violently;
as your wind, sea, and air;
move rapidly across your far corners;
of this land created for mankind.
We hear your mountains;
crying out to breath through mans;
tainted air.
From your far away horizons;
and barren deserts to the green forests;
and your valleys stretched out far and wide.
Your suffering can be visualized.
We see the destruction of your ecosystem;
slowly being striped away;
while man still interferes with humanity.
Mother Earth' your wonders;
are so grand and magical.
How shameful it is that man;
has poured so much devastating;
destruction within your elements.
Only to interfere;
with your destiny and purpose.
From the time we were born;
you have nourished us with fresh
air, food, water, and sunshine.
But our earth is ailing as we speak;
with what man has done to our habitat.
It's all in the nature of things;
that we have endured such suffering;
as wars, famines, world wide diseases;
and natural disasters.
You take us through many daylight hours;
and guide us through many dark hours;
of the night.
Oh how we sense;
your great pain and suffering.
Even the foul in the air;
and the beasts that roam;
your mighty grasslands;
are feeling mans evil and corruptness.
Violating their purpose in life;
as God meant it to be.
Oh please forgive us Mother Earth;
for being so careless and ruthless;
with what God has so freely blessed us with.
Thank you Mother Earth;
for providing us with a beautiful
way of life for all of mankind.
I only pray that God will help us;
to do a better job taking care of you;
so our future generations to come;
will be able to live and breath;
your clean air and fish and swim;
in your clean waters and walk;
through bountiful forests;
from the far corners of your earth.
Mother Earth you are our creation;
designed by Gods own handy work.
Since time began you have taken care;
of all of mankind.
Now its time for man to take care of you.
We love you Mother Earth.
