Fighting Desires through Prayer
Why do you fight and argue,
With another point of view;
Maybe selfish desires,
That keep lighting the fires.
Those desires take control,
Flowing through your mind and soul;
As it causes to reject,
For Heaven to interject.
A desire to instill,
To even make you want to kill;
And being caused by your greed,
That is disguised as a need.
But actually you should pray,
When it feels like you will stray;
For God to give you the strength,
Persevering any length.
Surrender unto the Lord,
So Satan can be ignored;
Remaining gentle and kind,
As God gives you peace of mind.
