Look at the child; so young and innocent. That precious innocence is so rare and yet we are slowing taking it from our own children.
We put shame on the world for make 'sexy' clothes for 5-years-old yet I do not see us protesting the stores that make them.
We get angry with the stars who party & set bad examples for our children yet, we go and do the same thing just maybe not to the same degree.
We don't let our children see a movie because it has a cuss word or two yet a few days later they hear us yell them in an argument.
That innocence of children is missing from our society and we complain; yet are we not the ones taking it away? WHY ARE WE ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN TO OUR CHILDREN? Soon there will be no more innocence and the world will crumble.
Children are the future of tomorrow and they need to keep that innocence. I am but one person and I know that a parent can not completely shelter a child from the world, but can a parent shelter a child from the bad habits that parent has themselves? I think not.
Children mimic and love to play monkey-see-monkey-do. So as a nation I think we need to try and keep that innocence in our children alive by keeping it alive in ourselves. The child is so young and innocent and we need to keep it that way.
Innocence is like hope; if it dies everything dies with it.
