This Rock, But Just A Stepping Stone
Earth, mans final frontier
This Blue planet, this spinning sphere
Is but just a stepping stone
This great big rock man calls his home
One step forward, sometimes two back
The bigger picture is how we lack
To stay the course, to sow the seeds
Of life eternal, mans greatest need
GOD shaped this world and gave his son
Yea, yea that's right his only one
To show the way, to pay the cost
To turn his cheek for those still lost
Some fail to see the road CHRIST walked
Is the same world, salvation's balked
By those naive that still reject
The truth denied with disrespect
We write what GOD puts in our heart
Sometimes the path not walked will part
With everyone who slips and falls
Upon this rock where life is mauled
This Rock, but just a stepping stone
Will outlast us thinking we own
The right of passage to the next plain
To CHRIST in Heaven, with souls so stained
This Rock, but just a stepping stone
Where will you go when you're called home?
