Fighting To Survive

Homelessness is a world battle
so many innocent without a home,
what did they do to deserve this
to end up cold and so alone?

Every park bench is filled
walkersby just stop and stare,
the homeless need their help
but really, do they care?

The homeless have shed their tears
oft filled with much regret,
they think they're the ones at fault
by putting themselves into debt.

It is not their fault
the reason why life's like this,
they only want to be understood
that's their biggest wish.

They're fighting to survive
through everyone's insults,
just give them a fair chance
you'll see good results.
