Ones Brief Escape
Year to year seems so unfair
The stale mate lived all one could bare
Yet here we are again dear soul
Reviewing life so uncontrolled
Pieces of puzzle we place today
Is that all there is of yesterdays
Not content how this turned out
Mundane how this has come about
We stretch out arms asking but why
Deafening the answer as time flies by
Yet hope we do it's all we know
Will get us by today we sowed
We'll dream tonight, a brief escape
Seems much better, given we take
Our time asleep where dreams seem real
Away, awake, one has to feel
Not all will go as we have planned
As dreams both good and bad will fan
The F A N in fantasy
Our great escape still yet to see
