The bitter pills of insufferable loneliness
and withering disappointment of a road
traveled alone are all that I've ever known.
I am a drifter born to trod this road of hardship
and heartache never knowing the sweet comforts
of love's joy and companionship.
My soul is a wilting flower,dying under the harsh
heat of an uncaring world,and my heart is burnt
by the hot fires of despair because I am bound
to forever walk this lonely road of solitude
